Our most requested work. Gut renovations, walk-in showers, and small-bathroom layouts, finished on the date we commit to, in a home we keep livable while we work.

Bathrooms are the room we are asked for most, and the one where the work behind the tile decides whether the finish lasts. We take the room from demolition through final walk-through (layout, waterproofing, tile, fixtures, and finish carpentry) as a single managed scope with one point of contact. We work across Queens, Westchester County, and the Bronx.
Everything comes out to the studs. This is the right scope when the layout no longer works, when there is water damage behind the existing tile, or when the systems behind the wall are old enough that replacing only the finishes would be money spent twice.
The largest bathroom in the home and usually the one with the most decisions: double vanities, separate shower and tub, heated floors, custom niches. Layout comes first, because fixture positions determine what the room can hold.
Removing an unused tub is one of the highest-value changes available in a small bathroom. A conversion frees up floor space, makes the room easier to step into, and generally runs shorter than a full gut because the footprint stays where it is.
Bathrooms under roughly 40 square feet, common in pre-war Queens apartments and older Westchester homes, where every inch has to earn its place. Wall-hung vanities, recessed niches, and pocket doors buy back usable space.
No shower or tub, so the scope is smaller, but the finish level is often higher, because it is the bathroom guests actually see.
Sometimes the layout is fine and the surfaces are not. We install ceramic and porcelain tile, vanities, and fixtures as a standalone scope where a full renovation is not what the room needs.
We come to the bathroom, measure it, and talk through storage, layout, water pressure and ventilation, and you leave with a written scope and a price. Materials, sequence and a completion date are agreed before demolition, because long-lead items like custom vanities or specialty tile are the most common cause of a bathroom project slipping. Dust containment goes up before the first wall comes down, one crew lead runs the job and is your contact, and the site is cleaned at the end of every working day. We walk the finished room with you, check the doors and drawers, and complete the punch list before we call it done.
A major renovation shouldn't disrupt your daily life. We focus on clear communication, clean jobsites, and straightforward honesty from day one. Our process is built to respect your time and get the job done right, so you can start enjoying your newly transformed home as soon as possible.
We want to hear about your project!

We conduct an on-site consultation for an initial fee starting at $300, depending on the size and scope of your project.

In this phase, we provide you a professional design for your project so you can visualize your ideas.

We remodel bathrooms across Queens, Westchester County, and the Bronx, plus surrounding areas within roughly 60 miles.

NYC DCWP #2132-535-DCWP and Westchester County #WC-39446-H20-25. County law requires that number in advertising. Ours is on every page.
Membrane, slope, and substrate are set before any tile goes down. It is the part of a bathroom nobody sees, and the part that decides whether the room is still sound in ten years.
Containment goes up before demolition and the site is cleared daily. For single-bathroom homes, tell us at the estimate and we sequence the work to shorten the days the room is out of service.
Long-lead materials are ordered up front, because a custom vanity arriving late is the most common reason a bathroom project runs over.
One crew lead runs your project from demolition to final walk-through. Every trade, from plumbing to tile to finish carpentry, is coordinated through us, on our schedule, held to our quality standard. You never have to coordinate between separate companies.
You need a permit whenever the work moves plumbing or alters electrical, and not for a cosmetic refresh. In New York City, a bathroom renovation that does not change the structure or occupancy generally falls under a DOB Alteration Type 2 filing, where approval commonly runs about four to eight weeks after submission. Westchester municipalities issue their own building permits town by town, so the requirement and the timeline vary by town. We identify what your project needs at the estimate, before the schedule is set.
Our bathroom builds run one to four weeks depending on scope, once permits are approved and materials are on site. The build is only part of the timeline, though. Permitting and material lead times usually decide the finish date. Where a DOB Alteration Type 2 filing is required, approval alone commonly takes four to eight weeks before work can begin, and custom vanities or specialty tile can add several weeks of their own. A tub-to-shower conversion that keeps the existing footprint runs at the short end of that range, because nothing moves.
When it comes to the price of a bathroom, kitchen, or full remodel in NYC, costs vary depending on the design, size, and quality of materials used for the project. Here is a good index to see whether it is worth the investment: according to Remodeling's 2025 Cost vs. Value Report for NYC (referenced via JLC), a midrange 5x7 ft bathroom remodel averaging $30,376 returns 76.5%, while an upscale bathroom with a cost of $90,686 gets you 40.1% back when you sell your home. So, you invest the money now, enjoy your bath for years to come, and when it's time to move on, you're still benefiting from an investment made years ago.
Not the one being renovated. It is out of service from demolition until the fixtures are set and sealed. If it is the only full bathroom in the home, tell us at the estimate and we will sequence the work to shorten that window rather than leaving the room open-ended. Dust containment stays up for the duration and the rest of the home stays usable.
It is removing an existing bathtub and building a walk-in shower in the same footprint. It is one of the most common requests we get in smaller bathrooms because it frees up usable floor space, makes the room easier to step into, and generally runs shorter than a full gut since the plumbing rough-in largely stays where it is. Whether the drain has to move depends on the shower base you choose.
Yes. Tile is one of our core trades, not something we hand off. We install ceramic, porcelain, and mosaic tile for shower walls, floors, niches, and wainscot. Layout is set before the first tile goes on, because that is what determines whether cuts land in the corners instead of the middle of a focal wall. See ceramic tile installation for tile work outside a bathroom scope.
Yes. Kadima Construction holds NYC DCWP license #2132-535-DCWP and Westchester County home improvement license #WC-39446-H20-25, and carries $1,000,000 in general liability insurance. The two are issued separately, so a contractor licensed only in New York City is not licensed for home improvement work in the county, and the reverse is also true. Any county-issued license can be verified through the Department of Consumer Protection.
Tell us which bathroom and we will come measure it and give you a written price.
